How far will your data go?
Choose an allowance to see what it could cover. Quality, compression and background activity change actual usage.
With 3 GB, approximately…
Send photos
≈ 600 photosExample: 5 MB per photo
Upload your own videos
≈ 47 clipsExample: a 1-minute Full HD clip ≈ 63 MB
Watch video
≈ 1 hrHD example: 3 GB per hour
At standard quality: ≈ 4 hr 17 min
Make video calls
≈ 2 hr 46 min1:1 at 720p: ≈ 1.08 GB per hour
Each result uses the whole allowance for that one activity. The results do not add up: maps, messages and other apps share the same data.
Taking photos or recording video on your phone does not itself use mobile data. Sending, watching or backing them up over the mobile network does.

Where these estimates come from
Planning examples, not guaranteed totals. We use 1 GB = 1,000 MB, round down complete files and minutes, and exclude overhead, retries and background traffic.
- 5 MB is Verizon’s high-resolution photo example. Your files can be smaller after compression or much larger as originals or RAW. Check the actual file size on your phone. Verizon ↗
- 63 MB models a 1-minute H.264 Full HD export at 24–30 fps using YouTube’s recommended video and stereo audio bitrates. It is not a universal camera-file size or the cost of watching a clip. YouTube ↗
- Viewing examples use Netflix’s published rates: up to 0.7 GB/hr at Medium and up to 3 GB/hr in HD. Other apps and quality settings can differ; these are not YouTube playback rates. Netflix ↗
- The call example uses Zoom’s 1:1 720p bandwidth: 1.2 Mbps up and 1.2 Mbps down, together about 1.08 GB/hr. Group calls and higher resolutions can use more. Zoom ↗

On iOS 26, a Turn On Travel eSIM notification may appear after arrival. Choose the travel line for data and check whether you also want to keep your home line active. If no notification appears, use the manual steps below.
Check when your package starts: at payment, installation or first connection. If it starts on installation, install nearer your trip. Installing later does not postpone a package that started at payment.
These screens show settings on the models named below. Your operator and eSIM labels will differ. Screens retain the source language; each caption translates and identifies the control to use. Tap any image for a closer look.

Give the new line a clear name
For example, “Letisim St. Kitts & Nevis”, so you can distinguish it from your home SIM. This is a label on your phone; it does not change the number or plan.
iPhone: Settings → Cellular / Mobile Service → new eSIM → Cellular Plan Label → Custom
Google Pixel / Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → new eSIM → Edit name
Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM manager → new eSIM → Name
Huawei: SIM management → SIM 2 → your eSIM → Card name. You can keep the existing label if no rename option is shown.
Honor: SIM management → SIM 2 → eSIM name. Rename it if your MagicOS version offers this option.
Xiaomi / Redmi: Manage eSIM → your plan → Change nickname, if available.
Motorola: Open the new eSIM in SIM settings and use the edit-name option if available.
OPPO: Open the installed profile in eSIM settings and change its label if your ColorOS version allows it.
OnePlus: Open the installed eSIM and edit its name if the option is available.
Line name: Letisim St. Kitts & Nevis

Google Pixel / Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Letisim → Roaming
Samsung: First select Letisim for mobile data, then Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Data roaming

Check your connection
Turn off Wi-Fi and open a map or website. If it loads, mobile data is working. If it does not, turn airplane mode on for about 30 seconds, turn it off and wait for a connection. Recheck the selected line and package settings.

No second screen for your QR code?
If the scanner has a gallery button, save the QR from your order and choose that image. If your order includes manual installation details, choose Enter details manually and copy the fields exactly. The available methods depend on your phone and eSIM. If neither is available, contact support; do not scan a sample code from this guide or delete an installed eSIM.
Menu names can differ by phone model and system version.
04 / Operators
Mobile operators in St. Kitts & Nevis
Compare network coverage separately from speed. A national result does not predict reception inside your hotel or along a mountain road.
Public primary sources clearly support Digicel and Flow as the consumer mobile operators visible in the market. This page uses a researched operator list rather than claiming a regulator-confirmed complete national register.
Digicel
Ask Digicel about mobile coverage at your accommodation and along your route. Check the network listed in the eSIM package before purchase. [1] [2]
Official website ↗Flow
Ask Flow about mobile coverage at your accommodation and along your route. Check the network listed in the eSIM package before purchase. [3]
Official website ↗The network in your chosen package is what matters. This country comparison does not mean every plan includes every operator. 5G depends on the package, phone and local coverage.
05 / Coverage
Coverage across St. Kitts & Nevis
Check the addresses and roads you will actually use. Save maps and booking details before leaving Wi-Fi.
- Basseterre and Port Zante
- Brimstone Hill and the west side of St. Kitts
- Nevis, Charlestown and the ferry crossing
- Mount Liamuiga and the interior
Basseterre and Port Zante
This is the easiest place to land with an eSIM already installed, because Port Zante and the capital concentrate arrivals, taxis and hotel check-ins. Have your maps and transport app ready before you leave the terminal so you can move straight into the city without depending on airport Wi‑Fi. [7] [8] [9]
Brimstone Hill and the west side of St. Kitts
For sightseeing on hill roads, save offline maps and your accommodation details before you go. That gives you a backup if you are switching between driving, photo stops and return transport on roads where you may want navigation more than repeated searching. [7] [8] [11] [12]
Nevis, Charlestown and the ferry crossing
Treat the crossing as part of the trip, not just transport. The official ferry pages highlight Basseterre Pier to Charlestown Pier, water taxis, and the SKN Transit app, so it is worth keeping schedules, hotel contacts and offline maps ready before you board. [4] [5] [6] [14] [11] [12]
Mount Liamuiga and the interior
For hikes and inland drives, download the route in advance and keep your booking details saved locally. The island’s tourism pages point to long scenic drives and mountain activities, so a prepared map is more useful than assuming you will always have strong live navigation. [7] [8] [11] [12]

Why travellers use data here
St. Kitts & Nevis is a compact two-island destination, so the main value of a travel eSIM is simple: quick access to directions, hotel messages and ride or ferry information the moment you land. In Basseterre, on the road to Brimstone Hill, or after crossing to Nevis, mobile data is most useful when it removes the need to search for Wi‑Fi before you can get moving.
The public mobile market visible in primary sources is centred on Digicel and Flow. For travellers, the practical choice is less about a label and more about how you plan to use the connection: data only, or data plus local calling and SMS. If your trip includes ferries, hill roads or several hotel changes, it helps to install the eSIM early, keep your home SIM for your regular number, and save offline maps as a backup rather than relying on a live signal everywhere.
Useful apps and travel tools
SKN Transit ↗
Official local app for real-time boat, ferry and water-taxi schedules across Saint Kitts and Nevis. It is especially useful when you are planning a crossing to or from Nevis. [14]
St. Kitts and Nevis e-Border ↗
Official travel app for electronic travel authorization and arrival requirements. It is useful before departure because it helps travellers complete entry steps in advance. [10] [13]
Google Maps ↗
A practical map app for search, directions and saved places, with offline areas available in selected regions when you want to keep navigation working without live data. [11]
Before you buy
Two islands, one trip plan
St. Kitts and Nevis are close together, but the island change still affects how you use data. Keep your ferry or water-taxi details, hotel messages and route screenshots saved before departure so you can move smoothly between arrival, transfer and check-in. [4] [5] [6] [11] [12]
Offline maps are a smart backup
Google Maps and Apple Maps both support offline use in selected areas. That is practical for beach roads, hill routes and days when you want navigation without repeatedly loading the same locations over mobile data. [11] [12]
Use travel data separately from your home number
A travel eSIM is best treated as your data line for maps, taxis, booking messages and web access. Keep your home SIM available if you still need your regular number for banking codes, personal calls or SMS verification. [2] [11] [12]
06 / FAQ
Questions about eSIM in St. Kitts & Nevis
Which mobile networks should I expect in St. Kitts & Nevis?
Compare Digicel and Flow for the islands and places you will visit. Check the network named in the package and choose data for maps, messages and travel updates. If you need a local number, calls or SMS, check those features separately before buying a data eSIM. [1] [2] [3]
Will one eSIM cover both islands?
A travel eSIM for the federation should be usable on both St. Kitts and Nevis, but the trip still has distinct moments: airport arrival, ferry or water-taxi transfer, and island check-in. Keep ferry details, hotel contact information and offline maps ready before you move between islands so you are not depending on live data at the handoff point. [4] [5] [6] [14] [11] [12]
Is data more useful than local calling for visitors?
For many short stays, yes. Data covers maps, taxi coordination, hotel messages, attraction searches and booking confirmations. Local calling and SMS can still matter if you expect to phone businesses directly or need a local number for certain services, so it is better to choose that deliberately rather than assuming every eSIM includes it. [2] [4] [5] [6]
Do I need offline maps outside Basseterre?
They are not mandatory, but they are a very practical backup for hill roads, sightseeing routes and the ferry crossing to Nevis. Offline maps help if the signal changes, the battery drains faster than expected, or you want to avoid repeated data use for the same route. They are especially useful for Brimstone Hill, Mount Liamuiga and the island transfer day. [7] [8] [11] [12]
When should I install the eSIM?
Install it before departure if your plan allows that, then switch it on when you are ready to use data. Activation timing can depend on the product: some plans begin at purchase, others on first connection, and some on installation. Keep your home SIM available if you still need your regular number for banking codes or other personal services. [2] [10]
