How far will your data go?
Choose an allowance to see what it could cover. Quality, compression and background activity change actual usage.
With 3 GB, approximately…
Send photos
≈ 600 photosExample: 5 MB per photo
Upload your own videos
≈ 47 clipsExample: a 1-minute Full HD clip ≈ 63 MB
Watch video
≈ 1 hrHD example: 3 GB per hour
At standard quality: ≈ 4 hr 17 min
Make video calls
≈ 2 hr 46 min1:1 at 720p: ≈ 1.08 GB per hour
Each result uses the whole allowance for that one activity. The results do not add up: maps, messages and other apps share the same data.
Taking photos or recording video on your phone does not itself use mobile data. Sending, watching or backing them up over the mobile network does.

Where these estimates come from
Planning examples, not guaranteed totals. We use 1 GB = 1,000 MB, round down complete files and minutes, and exclude overhead, retries and background traffic.
- 5 MB is Verizon’s high-resolution photo example. Your files can be smaller after compression or much larger as originals or RAW. Check the actual file size on your phone. Verizon ↗
- 63 MB models a 1-minute H.264 Full HD export at 24–30 fps using YouTube’s recommended video and stereo audio bitrates. It is not a universal camera-file size or the cost of watching a clip. YouTube ↗
- Viewing examples use Netflix’s published rates: up to 0.7 GB/hr at Medium and up to 3 GB/hr in HD. Other apps and quality settings can differ; these are not YouTube playback rates. Netflix ↗
- The call example uses Zoom’s 1:1 720p bandwidth: 1.2 Mbps up and 1.2 Mbps down, together about 1.08 GB/hr. Group calls and higher resolutions can use more. Zoom ↗

On iOS 26, a Turn On Travel eSIM notification may appear after arrival. Choose the travel line for data and check whether you also want to keep your home line active. If no notification appears, use the manual steps below.
Check when your package starts: at payment, installation or first connection. If it starts on installation, install nearer your trip. Installing later does not postpone a package that started at payment.
These screens show settings on the models named below. Your operator and eSIM labels will differ. Screens retain the source language; each caption translates and identifies the control to use. Tap any image for a closer look.

Give the new line a clear name
For example, “Letisim Armenia”, so you can distinguish it from your home SIM. This is a label on your phone; it does not change the number or plan.
iPhone: Settings → Cellular / Mobile Service → new eSIM → Cellular Plan Label → Custom
Google Pixel / Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → new eSIM → Edit name
Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM manager → new eSIM → Name
Huawei: SIM management → SIM 2 → your eSIM → Card name. You can keep the existing label if no rename option is shown.
Honor: SIM management → SIM 2 → eSIM name. Rename it if your MagicOS version offers this option.
Xiaomi / Redmi: Manage eSIM → your plan → Change nickname, if available.
Motorola: Open the new eSIM in SIM settings and use the edit-name option if available.
OPPO: Open the installed profile in eSIM settings and change its label if your ColorOS version allows it.
OnePlus: Open the installed eSIM and edit its name if the option is available.
Line name: Letisim Armenia

No second screen for your QR code?
If the scanner has a gallery button, save the QR from your order and choose that image. If your order includes manual installation details, choose Enter details manually and copy the fields exactly. The available methods depend on your phone and eSIM. If neither is available, contact support; do not scan a sample code from this guide or delete an installed eSIM.

04 / Operators
Mobile operators in Armenia
Compare network coverage separately from speed. A national result does not predict reception inside your hotel or along a mountain road.
Armenia’s national mobile operators listed here are Team Telecom Armenia, Viva and Ucom, based on the communications regulator and the operators’ own public sites.

Yerevan
Yerevan is the easiest place to rely on an eSIM for everyday city use: maps, messages, sightseeing lookups and public transport information. Save the municipal transport page or a local transit app before you head out, and compare operator coverage for the parts of the city you expect to use most. [2] [3] [4] [5] [8] [9] [10]
Lake Sevan
For a Sevan trip, check coverage along the road you will actually take, not only at the lake itself. Download an offline map before leaving Yerevan so navigation still works smoothly between beaches, viewpoints and stops along the way. [2] [3] [4] [7]
Dilijan
Dilijan is a practical place to keep maps and messaging ready for walks, monastery visits and transfers. Check the locality on operator coverage pages before you go, and keep an offline map on your phone for routes outside the town center. [2] [3] [4] [6]
Gyumri
For Gyumri, a data eSIM is most useful for navigation, messaging and onward road travel. Before a longer day outside the city, compare operators on their coverage pages and save an offline map as backup. [2] [3] [4]
Armenia · eSIM
Overview
Armenia is an easy country to travel around, but your connectivity needs can change quickly between a city stay in Yerevan, a road trip to Lake Sevan and quieter days in Dilijan. An eSIM keeps mobile internet ready for maps, messaging and transport checks without swapping a physical SIM card. The main national operators travellers compare are Team Telecom Armenia, Viva and Ucom, and each publishes a public coverage page that is more useful when checked by exact locality or road section than by a broad national claim.
When choosing a package, it helps to think about your real phone use: city navigation, public transport information, sightseeing lookups and day trips between stops. For Yerevan, local transport and city-guide tools are useful; for Sevan and Dilijan, an offline map is a smart backup before you leave town. Also check the package details on the product screen: in the current catalog, validity can start either on first connection or on purchase, depending on the package.

Before you buy
First day in Yerevan
Yerevan combines sightseeing, transport information and day-to-day trip planning in one compact city. Save the municipal transport page and the official city guide before you go out so you can check routes, attractions and practical information without searching for Wi-Fi each time. [5] [8] [9]
Road trips to Lake Sevan
Around Lake Sevan, the key question is your route. Before leaving the city, download an offline map and check the operator coverage page for the road you plan to use. That makes it easier to keep navigation and messages available while moving between stops. [3] [4] [7]
Dilijan walks and side trips
Dilijan is often about nature, monasteries and short transfers rather than one fixed urban routine. Check coverage before you leave and keep an offline map ready if your day includes trails or several stops outside the center. [2] [6]
06 / FAQ
Questions about eSIM in Armenia
Which mobile networks should I compare before buying an eSIM for Armenia?
The main national operators to compare are Team Telecom Armenia, Viva and Ucom. The practical check is not only the operator name, but whether its public coverage page matches the places you will actually use most: Yerevan, a road to Lake Sevan, Dilijan or another stop on your route. [1] [2] [3] [4]
When should I install and activate my Armenia eSIM?
Check the package details first. In the current catalog, some packages start their validity on first connection, while others start on purchase. The package screen is the best place to confirm the activation rule before installing early. [11]
Is checking a general country claim enough for coverage?
Usually no. For Armenia, it is better to check the exact city, locality or road section you plan to use. That matters more for travellers than a broad country-level impression, especially if your trip includes both Yerevan and day trips outside the capital. [2] [3] [4]
What should I do before a day trip to Lake Sevan?
Download an offline map before leaving Yerevan and check the operator coverage page for the road you expect to take. That makes navigation easier between lake stops, viewpoints and return travel later in the day. [3] [4] [7]
Which local apps or services are useful in Yerevan?
The official Visit Yerevan app is useful for city sights and trip planning. For transport, the municipal transport page and the A2B public transport app can help with route lookup around the city. [5] [8] [9] [10]
How do I confirm which network my package uses?
Check the package screen before you buy. A network shown on one Armenia offer does not mean every offer uses the same network, so the package page is the authoritative source for that specific purchase. [11]
