How far will your data go?
Choose an allowance to see what it could cover. Quality, compression and background activity change actual usage.
With 3 GB, approximately…
Send photos
≈ 600 photosExample: 5 MB per photo
Upload your own videos
≈ 47 clipsExample: a 1-minute Full HD clip ≈ 63 MB
Watch video
≈ 1 hrHD example: 3 GB per hour
At standard quality: ≈ 4 hr 17 min
Make video calls
≈ 2 hr 46 min1:1 at 720p: ≈ 1.08 GB per hour
Each result uses the whole allowance for that one activity. The results do not add up: maps, messages and other apps share the same data.
Taking photos or recording video on your phone does not itself use mobile data. Sending, watching or backing them up over the mobile network does.

Where these estimates come from
Planning examples, not guaranteed totals. We use 1 GB = 1,000 MB, round down complete files and minutes, and exclude overhead, retries and background traffic.
- 5 MB is Verizon’s high-resolution photo example. Your files can be smaller after compression or much larger as originals or RAW. Check the actual file size on your phone. Verizon ↗
- 63 MB models a 1-minute H.264 Full HD export at 24–30 fps using YouTube’s recommended video and stereo audio bitrates. It is not a universal camera-file size or the cost of watching a clip. YouTube ↗
- Viewing examples use Netflix’s published rates: up to 0.7 GB/hr at Medium and up to 3 GB/hr in HD. Other apps and quality settings can differ; these are not YouTube playback rates. Netflix ↗
- The call example uses Zoom’s 1:1 720p bandwidth: 1.2 Mbps up and 1.2 Mbps down, together about 1.08 GB/hr. Group calls and higher resolutions can use more. Zoom ↗

On iOS 26, a Turn On Travel eSIM notification may appear after arrival. Choose the travel line for data and check whether you also want to keep your home line active. If no notification appears, use the manual steps below.
Check when your package starts: at payment, installation or first connection. If it starts on installation, install nearer your trip. Installing later does not postpone a package that started at payment.
These screens show settings on the models named below. Your operator and eSIM labels will differ. Screens retain the source language; each caption translates and identifies the control to use. Tap any image for a closer look.

Give the new line a clear name
For example, “Letisim St. Vincent & Grenadines”, so you can distinguish it from your home SIM. This is a label on your phone; it does not change the number or plan.
iPhone: Settings → Cellular / Mobile Service → new eSIM → Cellular Plan Label → Custom
Google Pixel / Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → new eSIM → Edit name
Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM manager → new eSIM → Name
Huawei: SIM management → SIM 2 → your eSIM → Card name. You can keep the existing label if no rename option is shown.
Honor: SIM management → SIM 2 → eSIM name. Rename it if your MagicOS version offers this option.
Xiaomi / Redmi: Manage eSIM → your plan → Change nickname, if available.
Motorola: Open the new eSIM in SIM settings and use the edit-name option if available.
OPPO: Open the installed profile in eSIM settings and change its label if your ColorOS version allows it.
OnePlus: Open the installed eSIM and edit its name if the option is available.
Line name: Letisim St. Vincent & Grenadines

Check roaming in your package guide
If your eSIM instructions require data roaming, enable it for the Letisim line. Keep data roaming off on your home SIM. If an APN is specified, use the exact value in your own package’s guide.
iPhone: Settings → Cellular / Mobile Service → Letisim → Data Roaming (sometimes under Cellular Data Options)
Google Pixel / Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Letisim → Roaming
Samsung: First select Letisim for mobile data, then Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Data roaming

No second screen for your QR code?
If the scanner has a gallery button, save the QR from your order and choose that image. If your order includes manual installation details, choose Enter details manually and copy the fields exactly. The available methods depend on your phone and eSIM. If neither is available, contact support; do not scan a sample code from this guide or delete an installed eSIM.

Mobile operators in St. Vincent & the Grenadines
Compare network coverage separately from speed. A national result does not predict reception inside your hotel or along a mountain road.
The regulator’s licence register and numbering plan identify the main public mobile networks in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. For travellers, the useful comparison is the package and the places you will actually use it, not a long roster of brands.
Digicel SVG Limited
Ask Digicel SVG Limited about mobile coverage at your accommodation and along your route. Check the network listed in the eSIM package before purchase. [1] [2] [3] [4] [10]
Official website ↗Cable and Wireless Caribbean Cellular (St. Vincent and the Grenadines) Limited / Flow
If your eSIM package lists Cable and Wireless Caribbean Cellular (St. Vincent and the Grenadines) Limited / Flow, ask the operator about coverage at your accommodation and along your route. Its official website is the starting point for current network information. [1] [2] [9]
Official website ↗The network in your chosen package is what matters. This country comparison does not mean every plan includes every operator. 5G depends on the package, phone and local coverage.

Coverage across St. Vincent & the Grenadines
Check the addresses and roads you will actually use. Save maps and booking details before leaving Wi-Fi.
- Kingstown and the south coast
- Bequia and the Grenadines ferry route
- Canouan, Mayreau and Union Island
- West coast road trips and coastal stops
Kingstown and the south coast
For airport or port arrival, install and test your eSIM before you leave the terminal. Keep offline maps for Kingstown and the main coastal roads so you can handle check-ins, taxis and short address searches without waiting for a fresh data session. [5] [6] [7]
Bequia and the Grenadines ferry route
This is the route where having data already active is most convenient, because departures, delays and pickup points can change while you are moving. Save the ferry schedule before you travel and keep maps available offline for harbour arrivals and short crossings. [5] [6] [8]
Canouan, Mayreau and Union Island
For the southern islands, prepare by saving bookings, transfer notes and hotel contacts before departure. Live data is then most useful for messages, maps and schedule checks, rather than being the only way to stay organised. [5] [6] [7]
West coast road trips and coastal stops
If your plans include scenic drives and stops away from the main town center, download directions and place markers in advance. That makes short signal changes easier to handle without stopping every time you want to confirm a turn or beach access point. [5] [7] [8]

What to know before you buy
The country’s mobile market is built around the licensed public mobile operators listed by the regulator, so the practical decision is usually about which plan, product type and validity fit your trip rather than finding a long list of carriers. Digicel’s local pages show a tourist eSIM offer and roaming information, while the regulator’s registers confirm the licensed public mobile networks in the market.
For travellers, the most useful question is not just which network name appears on the box, but where you will use the data. City arrivals in Kingstown, ferry transfers to Bequia or Union Island, and coastal day trips all benefit from having an eSIM active before you move. Offline maps and saved ferry details reduce friction when you are between islands or outside a town center.

Before you buy
Ferries shape how many travellers use data
In St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a lot of practical connectivity use is tied to ferries, harbour departure points and hotel handoffs rather than long urban commutes. An active eSIM makes it easier to follow schedule changes, message a driver and check where to board next without hunting for Wi‑Fi. [5] [6] [8]
City arrival is where mobile data helps first
Kingstown is where many visitors first need maps, ride coordination and message access at the same time. A data eSIM is most useful when you want those basics to work immediately, while your home SIM stays separate for calls or bank texts. [5] [7] [9]
06 / FAQ
Questions about eSIM in St. Vincent & the Grenadines
Which mobile networks matter for a visitor in St. Vincent & the Grenadines?
The regulator’s public licence and numbering records show the main licensed mobile networks, so that is the right starting point for comparing plans. In practice, visitors usually choose between those networks through a local SIM, roaming bundle or eSIM product, then judge the result by how well it works on the routes they actually take. That makes airport arrival, city use in Kingstown and ferry travel the most relevant moments to think about. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Is a data eSIM useful for island hopping?
Yes. A data eSIM is especially helpful when you are moving between ports, ferries and small-island stops, because schedules, directions and pickup details can change while you are on the move. If you save maps and ferry information in advance, the eSIM becomes the easy layer for messaging and live updates rather than the only way you can navigate. [5] [6] [8]
Should I rely on one operator for the whole trip?
It is better to compare the package you are buying than to assume one operator will feel identical everywhere. Kingstown, the west coast and the Grenadines can involve different travel patterns, so the right choice is the plan that matches where you spend most time and whether you need support for ferry transfers, hotel check-ins or short city stays. [1] [5] [6]
Can I use my home SIM for calls and an eSIM for data?
Yes, and that is often the cleanest setup for visitors. Keeping your home SIM active for voice, bank texts or important calls while using a travel eSIM for data helps you separate roaming charges from internet use. It also makes it easier to control which line handles apps and which one stays reserved for your primary number. [3] [10] [9]
What should I download before going to the Grenadines?
Download maps, ferry schedules and any booking details before you leave the main island or the airport. The tourism authority’s ferry information is especially useful when you are crossing to Bequia, Canouan, Mayreau or Union Island, because having the next departure on hand is more helpful than trying to load it later on a weak connection. [5] [6] [7] [8]
Do I need a special app for getting around?
You do not need one, but it helps to have a destination app and a ferry app ready. Discover SVG is useful for attractions and trip ideas, while My Travel Guide focuses on boat departures and travel updates. Together they cover the two things many visitors use most: what to see and how to move between islands. [7] [8] [5] [6]
