How far will your data go?
Choose an allowance to see what it could cover. Quality, compression and background activity change actual usage.
With 3 GB, approximately…
Send photos
≈ 600 photosExample: 5 MB per photo
Upload your own videos
≈ 47 clipsExample: a 1-minute Full HD clip ≈ 63 MB
Watch video
≈ 1 hrHD example: 3 GB per hour
At standard quality: ≈ 4 hr 17 min
Make video calls
≈ 2 hr 46 min1:1 at 720p: ≈ 1.08 GB per hour
Each result uses the whole allowance for that one activity. The results do not add up: maps, messages and other apps share the same data.
Taking photos or recording video on your phone does not itself use mobile data. Sending, watching or backing them up over the mobile network does.

Where these estimates come from
Planning examples, not guaranteed totals. We use 1 GB = 1,000 MB, round down complete files and minutes, and exclude overhead, retries and background traffic.
- 5 MB is Verizon’s high-resolution photo example. Your files can be smaller after compression or much larger as originals or RAW. Check the actual file size on your phone. Verizon ↗
- 63 MB models a 1-minute H.264 Full HD export at 24–30 fps using YouTube’s recommended video and stereo audio bitrates. It is not a universal camera-file size or the cost of watching a clip. YouTube ↗
- Viewing examples use Netflix’s published rates: up to 0.7 GB/hr at Medium and up to 3 GB/hr in HD. Other apps and quality settings can differ; these are not YouTube playback rates. Netflix ↗
- The call example uses Zoom’s 1:1 720p bandwidth: 1.2 Mbps up and 1.2 Mbps down, together about 1.08 GB/hr. Group calls and higher resolutions can use more. Zoom ↗

On iOS 26, a Turn On Travel eSIM notification may appear after arrival. Choose the travel line for data and check whether you also want to keep your home line active. If no notification appears, use the manual steps below.
Check when your package starts: at payment, installation or first connection. If it starts on installation, install nearer your trip. Installing later does not postpone a package that started at payment.
These screens show settings on the models named below. Your operator and eSIM labels will differ. Screens retain the source language; each caption translates and identifies the control to use. Tap any image for a closer look.

Give the new line a clear name
For example, “Letisim Czechia”, so you can distinguish it from your home SIM. This is a label on your phone; it does not change the number or plan.
iPhone: Settings → Cellular / Mobile Service → new eSIM → Cellular Plan Label → Custom
Google Pixel / Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → new eSIM → Edit name
Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM manager → new eSIM → Name
Huawei: SIM management → SIM 2 → your eSIM → Card name. You can keep the existing label if no rename option is shown.
Honor: SIM management → SIM 2 → eSIM name. Rename it if your MagicOS version offers this option.
Xiaomi / Redmi: Manage eSIM → your plan → Change nickname, if available.
Motorola: Open the new eSIM in SIM settings and use the edit-name option if available.
OPPO: Open the installed profile in eSIM settings and change its label if your ColorOS version allows it.
OnePlus: Open the installed eSIM and edit its name if the option is available.
Line name: Letisim Czechia

Check roaming in your package guide
If your eSIM instructions require data roaming, enable it for the Letisim line. Keep data roaming off on your home SIM. If an APN is specified, use the exact value in your own package’s guide.
iPhone: Settings → Cellular / Mobile Service → Letisim → Data Roaming (sometimes under Cellular Data Options)
Google Pixel / Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Letisim → Roaming
Samsung: First select Letisim for mobile data, then Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Data roaming
Huawei: Open Mobile network → Mobile data and check data roaming for the travel SIM. Follow the settings in your package guide.
Honor: In the mobile-network settings, open the travel SIM’s data settings and enable roaming only if your package requires it.
Xiaomi / Redmi: In Mobile networks, open the travel SIM’s data-roaming settings. Use the roaming and APN values from your package guide.
Motorola: Open the travel eSIM’s network settings and check Roaming against your package instructions.
OPPO: Open the travel SIM’s mobile-network settings and enable data roaming if required by your package.
OnePlus: Open the travel SIM’s settings and check Data roaming against the instructions for your own package.

Check your connection
Turn off Wi-Fi and open a map or website. If it loads, mobile data is working. If it does not, turn airplane mode on for about 30 seconds, turn it off and wait for a connection. Recheck the selected line and package settings.

No second screen for your QR code?
If the scanner has a gallery button, save the QR from your order and choose that image. If your order includes manual installation details, choose Enter details manually and copy the fields exactly. The available methods depend on your phone and eSIM. If neither is available, contact support; do not scan a sample code from this guide or delete an installed eSIM.
Menu names can differ by phone model and system version.
04 / Operators
Mobile operators in Czechia
Compare network coverage separately from speed. A national result does not predict reception inside your hotel or along a mountain road.
This page lists Czechia’s nationwide mobile networks: O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone. The network used by a specific eSIM package can vary, so always check the package screen before purchase.
O2 Czech Republic
O2 provides a public mobile coverage map with location search. It is a planning tool, so indoor reception and moving transport can differ from the estimate on the map. [1] [2] [4]
Check coverage ↗T-Mobile Czech Republic
The cited T-Mobile page is a mobile-services support page, not a direct public mobile coverage map. Check T-Mobile’s current site information before relying on the network for a specific stop on your route. [1] [2] [6]
Official website ↗Vodafone Czech Republic
Vodafone provides a public coverage map with address search. The operator presents it as an estimate, so treat it as a check before travel rather than a guarantee for a specific indoor spot. [1] [2] [5]
Check coverage ↗| Operator | Coverage Experience / 10 | Download · Mbps | Study date |
|---|---|---|---|
| O2 Czech Republic | 9.7 | 44 | 2026-02[3] |
| T-Mobile Czech Republic | 9.8 | 67.2 | 2026-02[3] |
| Vodafone Czech Republic | 9.4 | 24.6 | 2026-02[3] |
Coverage Experience is a score, not a percentage of territory. These dated averages are not promised speeds for your connection.
The network in your chosen package is what matters. This country comparison does not mean every plan includes every operator. 5G depends on the package, phone and local coverage.

Coverage across Czechia
Check the addresses and roads you will actually use. Save maps and booking details before leaving Wi-Fi.
- Prague
- České Budějovice
- Bohemian Paradise
- Krkonoše National Park
Prague
Prague is the easiest place to start using mobile data for metro, trams, tickets and walking routes between stations, hotels and sights. PID Lítačka helps with local transport, and an offline map is still useful for underground sections or quick route checks without relying on a live connection. [8] [12] [14]
České Budějovice
České Budějovice works well as a base if your trip mixes city time with day trips. Keep IDOS ready for onward transport checks and download maps before leaving the centre, so route changes are easier if you continue beyond the main station area. [7] [9] [13] [14]
Bohemian Paradise
For Bohemian Paradise, mobile data is most useful before and between walks: check directions, transport times and saved points such as parking, accommodation or trail starts. Download your map in advance so you can keep navigating even when you prefer not to depend on a constant connection outdoors. [10] [13] [14]
Krkonoše National Park
In Krkonoše, prepare before heading into the park: save trailheads, accommodation and public-transport options, and keep an offline map on your phone. That is more practical for hiking days than assuming you will want to stream or search for every detail while already on the route. [11] [13] [14]

What to expect from mobile data in Czechia
Czechia’s mobile market is built around three nationwide networks: O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone. That gives travellers a clear starting point, but the network used by a specific eSIM package can still vary, so it is worth checking the package screen before you buy. For coverage planning, O2 and Vodafone publish public mobile coverage maps, while T-Mobile’s cited source here is a mobile-services information page rather than a direct map link.
Public measurements from Opensignal’s February 2026 report show strong national results across all three operators, with Coverage Experience scores of 9.8 for T-Mobile, 9.7 for O2 and 9.4 for Vodafone. Average Download Speed Experience in the same report is 67.2 Mbps for T-Mobile, 44 Mbps for O2 and 24.6 Mbps for Vodafone. These figures help with comparison, but for real trips it is still smarter to check the hotel, station or hiking base you will actually use and to keep an offline map ready for route changes.
Useful apps and travel tools
PID Lítačka ↗
Useful for Prague and the surrounding integrated transport region for tickets and local public-transport planning. [8] [12]
IDOS ↗
Nationwide timetable app for trains and buses when your trip goes beyond Prague. [13]
Mapy.com ↗
Official Seznam map app with navigation and offline maps for cities, day trips and hiking routes. [14]
Before you buy
Check the exact address, not just the city
O2 and Vodafone both offer public coverage tools with location search, and both present them as estimates. For travel planning, it is more useful to check the exact hotel, apartment or station than to assume the whole district will behave the same indoors. [4] [5]
Use one app for timetables and one for maps
IDOS is useful for trains and buses across the country, while PID Lítačka is practical in Prague and the surrounding integrated transport area. If you also download maps in Mapy.com, day trips are easier to manage without constant online lookups. [12] [13] [14]
06 / FAQ
Questions about eSIM in Czechia
Which mobile networks are available in Czechia?
The nationwide mobile networks are O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone. This page lists those networks, but not every Czechia eSIM package necessarily uses the same one, so check the package screen before purchase. [1] [2] [15]
How should I check signal for a hotel or apartment?
Check the exact address, not just the city. O2 and Vodafone both offer public coverage tools with location search, and both describe them as estimates. For T-Mobile, the cited public page is mobile-services information rather than a direct map link, so verify current operator information before relying on coverage for a specific stop. [4] [5] [6]
When should I install my Czechia eSIM?
You can usually install an eSIM before travel if your phone supports it, but do not assume every package starts only when you arrive. In the catalog, package validity may begin on first connection or from purchase, and the package screen is the final reference. Check that start rule before installing early or turning the line on. [15]
Which apps are useful for getting around?
PID Lítačka is practical for Prague and the surrounding integrated transport region. IDOS is useful for nationwide train and bus timetables. Mapy.com is handy for navigation and offline maps. Many travellers use a timetable app together with an offline map, especially for day trips beyond the capital. [12] [13] [14]
Is mobile internet use different in Prague and hiking areas?
Yes, mostly in how you use it. In Prague, mobile data is handy for tickets, local transport and walking routes. In places such as Bohemian Paradise or Krkonoše, it is more useful for planning, saved locations and transport checks before you set off. Downloading maps in advance is a practical backup for both. [8] [10] [11] [14]
What should I compare when choosing a package?
Compare three things: the network shown for the package, the places where you will actually use mobile data, and how much traffic you expect to need for maps, messaging, video and trip length. Opensignal’s latest report helps compare operators nationally, but your hotel, station area and day-trip route matter more than a generic country-wide impression. [3] [15] [4] [5] [6]
